HTML mails – The future of E-Mail marketing
Gone are the days when experts used to debate against the use of HTML format in E-Mail marketing. With boom in the IT industry, competition has rocketed and companies have to stay updated in order to stay in the corporate battlefield.
In order to stay ahead, new methods have to be accepted and the old ones have to perish, it is anachronistic to stick with reasons which supported the drive against HTML mails in the 90's.
HTML got a bad reputation for falsely alerting Spam filters. Today, however, Spam filters are much more sophisticated, taking the sender's reputation into account and looking beyond the content.
Businesses using HTML mails practically certify better responses and raised sales. And the boring colourless mails are again and again left unread.
Having said this,it's important to keep basic things in mind while writing an HTML based mail-
1.The width of the mail should be kept low, so that the reader is not forced to scroll horizontally.
2.A good balance of images and content should be maintained, either one should not overlap each other.
3.Use multi-part alternatives to let the email client choose between text and HTML versions of your message. This is especially important for customers who receive your messages on mobile devices.
With the emergence of new E-Mail marketing companies, HTML mails will run the show, and business houses should jump on the bandwagon as its better to change today rather than being forced to change tomorrow.
